 WELCOME TO COLLEGE OF INTEGRATIVE MEDICAL SCIENCES

The College of Integrative Medical Sciences (CIMS), located at Ejisu, east of Kumasi, Ghana, has been set up to offer multiple diploma and degree as well as non-degree programs. Being the pioneer medical school to offer educational programs that integrate modern biomedical sciences with traditional African medicine, CIMS is at the forefront of efforts to develop a sustainable healthcare model for Africa.


EDUCATION

CIMS offers a range of professional degree and diploma programs including integrative medicine, nursing, midwifery, emergency medicine, clinical laboratory science, herbal pharmacy and community health work. A university preparation program –
CIMS PRE-HEALTH - prepares students to perform at a level suitable for gaining entry to our professional health science programs.  Also through our academic upgrading program we offer opportunity to students who need to upgrade their secondary school results in order to qualify for admission into our post-secondary health professional programs.


RESEARCH

Research at the College of Integrative Medical Sciences is devoted to the evaluation of conventional and natural medicine practices, the exploration, development and evaluation of new treatments for serious chronic diseases, the continued development of faculty research skills, and the training of students in research methods.
